Chaia Heller, MA, PhD
Like many lives, mine is a tree with many branches. Early on, I reached for the branch of consciousness and healing, studying and working with a body-mind psychoanalyst. This formative experience rooted me in integrative approaches to therapy—ways of knowing that honor both the body and the mind.
I later immersed myself in traditional psychology, earning a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Antioch New England College and training to work with individuals, couples, and families. In my early middle years, my curiosity led me to anthropology. I explored consciousness as a cultural process, eventually becoming a professor of anthropology and gender studies.
While I work with people from all walks of life, I bring a deep respect for the lived experiences of gender-diverse and neurodiverse individuals. I view counseling as a collaborative space for cultivating self-understanding, self-love, and healing.
